Developments in Industrial Relations
Queensland State Awards ceased to exist on 1 February 2011. Unincorporated Queensland employers previously covered by State Awards became subject to Awards of the Federal Fair Work IR system on 1 February 2011. Did you know that you can be liable for thousands of dollars of worth of fines if you make a mistake in your wage calculations? Ignorance is unfortunately no defence. Our Members section has full details of your obligations under the new laws, alternatively contact us to speak to our Industrial Relations Specialist directly.
