All Cotton Industry employees (with the exception of those involved in harvesting operations) transferred to the Federal IR system on 1 January 2010 and became covered by the Pastoral Award 2010.

Harvesting employees employed by incorporated employers also transferred to the Pastoral Award 2010 on 1 January 2010, while those engaged by unincorporated employers transferred on 1 February 2011.
